Summer dreaming


In my neck of the woods, we are lucky to break 70 degrees in May, but that hasn't stopped me from dreaming about warmer days. Here's what I'm looking forward to in Summer 2012, in no particular order:


Bikes rides with my little dude {I just ordered a baby bike seat and helmet. I cannot wait!}
The farmers market on Sunday mornings
Evening picnics in Volunteer Park
Lake-swimming
Homemade cherry pie
Rosé in the sunshine
Saltwater sandals {big and small}
Ripe tomatoes
Eating dinner outside
Ice cream cones
Taking Hank to the wading pool
Early morning walks
4th of July fireworks
Lake Chelan with good friends
Grilling
Beers on the deck at twilight
Open windows and warm breezes

All things must start somewhere

I've over-thought what the perfect first post would be, but the truth is I just need to start. Even if that means I have little else to say but "hello." Hello! I hope that this will be a space to write about the things I love--cooking, beautiful things, my little boy.
